SETUP GUIDE · TELEGRAM BUSINESS
With Telegram Business, client DMs to your own Telegram flow into HubSpot, and replies you type in HubSpot are delivered as you— clients never see a bot. The bot you connect acts only as an invisible, authorized transport, using Telegram's official Business chatbot mechanism.
Telegram Business features, including ChatBots, are available to Premium subscribers on the personal account you connect.
Personal-account chats route to HubSpot Inbox / Help Desk, which requires a plan with custom-channel access.
Any bot added in the Setup dashboard with the Support role. The same bot can serve the support inbox and your personal connection at the same time.
CONNECTION
In the Setup dashboard, add a Telegram bot with the Support role and pick a HubSpot inbox (create a free bot with @BotFather if you don't have one — see the main setup guide). Personal-account chats land in that inbox, so this step requires a HubSpot plan with custom-channel access. Your clients will never see or message this bot — it only carries your chats to HubSpot and your replies back.
On the phone or desktop app signed into your personal account, open Settings → Telegram Business. This section appears for Telegram Premiumsubscribers — if you don't see it, subscribe to Premium first.

Select ChatBots and enter your bot's @username (it is shown in the Setup dashboard under Your bots). Then allow the bot to reply when Telegram asks for permissions — that reply permission is what lets your HubSpot replies go out as you. You can also choose which chats the bot can access, for example excluding existing contacts so only new client conversations sync.

Back in the Setup dashboard, the bot now shows ● Personal account connected. Replies go out as you. Have someone DM your personal Telegram: the chat appears in your HubSpot inbox, and a reply typed in HubSpot reaches them from your name, not from a bot.
The reply permission is off. In Telegram open Settings → Telegram Business → ChatBots and turn on allow the bot to reply. The dashboard shows this state as “reply permission is off.”
Telegram Business requires an active Telegram Premium subscription on that account, and an up-to-date Telegram app.
Check which chats the bot can access in ChatBots settings — existing chats may be excluded by your selection. Only new incoming messages sync, not older history.
Email support@resonatehq.com with your HubSpot portal ID and the bot username. Never send a bot token.
